I'm aiming for around 6–7 episodes. Episodes are capped under 90s for now because of Instagram Reel constraints — but Season 1's story is already fully written. Expect deeper worldbuilding, more character intrigue, and bigger action as the season rolls out.

What happens — psychologically, morally — to humans once death has been solved? In Shinigami 2055 the resurrection industry has erased grief, the fear of loss, and the innate sense that things are temporary. The series sits inside one question: when nothing ends, what do we lose? Do we still enjoy the things that made us human in the first place?
I've been chasing what Samurai Champloo did when it dropped hip-hop into a samurai world — but pushed forward. That means ripping Japanese rap vocal stems and dropping them over harder Memphis/ATL production. Yuki Chiba runs through the series — featured in Ep 01 and again in Ep 03. His flow fits the world.
Spent a lot of time on the music for both episodes. The jazz interlude in Ep 02 is built around a jazz piano cover of Yoasobi— they've scored some of the biggest anime of the last few years, so the melody lives in the back of fans' heads. Familiar without being on the nose.
The arena scene in Ep 02 is scored on a Kanye beat. He makes some of the most arena-tailored music I know — that scale was the whole point.
